TWO-IS-BETTER-THAN-ONE SALE

February is the month of love; whether it’s budding or made-it-till-the-end kinda love. We wanted to celebrate love, commitment, and family with a sale on comfort. But we realize that every family has a different story and not all of them are positive…. So our TWO is better then ONE sale will look like this:

Throw Pillows: Buy ONE get ONE the whole month of Feb

(at equal or lesser price - mix and match)

Throws/Blankets: For EVERY throw bought during Feb

we donate ONE “Have a Heart” blanket to NEOSS

We attended the NEOSS fundraiser in November and were inspired by Jess Tetu’s testimony; and have been thinking a lot about the children caught in their parents’ lifestyle or life choices. The idea is that these beautiful and comfy blankets will be given to those children&teens, that come into NEOSS’ care, to take with them when they leave. Something to bring comfort at a time in their lives where everything is scary, uncertain, and unpredictable.

Ask the Designers Night (Free event)

Wracking your brain on what to do in an area of your home? Can’t get your open concept layout to blend well? Struggling with anything big or small? Ask us!!

Not everyone needs or wants a design consultation -but I’m sure you find (like all of us do) that there are areas in your home that you just don’t know what to do with…. or you find that you can’t get the look you’re going for but don’t know why…. Come hang out with us and ask your questions -sometimes it’s nice to get a second opinion or an idea you’d never though of yourself before. Online advice is plentiful, but your home and your needs are very specific to you and your lifestyle, and it’s not always easy to find solutions you can adapt to fit your specific situation.

We will draw from our expertise having worked with lots of families and individuals, old and new homes, as well as budgets big and small to try to answer your questions or give you some design direction.

This event is free. We’ll have refreshments and a good time mingling and visiting. We’ll stay open for business this evening and you’ll get 10% off any of our décor (sale items not included).

Christmas Market 2022

November 18th is the day. 4PM is the time.

We would love to see you at our Annual Christmas Market! Come wander the store, get inspired by the décor and colours, buy a gift from one of our local makers, update your Christmas collection, and have a great time. We love our markets and have had great feedback from the community; it’s just a really lovely time spent with a friend -or catching up under the stringed lights with people you never see anymore.

Vendors joining us this year are;

Wood Turner Ben Kember // Elaine with Velvet Vittles // Bethany with her beautiful Clay Earrings

MelCity Floral // Penny Lane Pottery // Catz’ N’ Jammers // Golden Grain Bakery (proceeds will be going to Youth Matter SK).

We are inspired by the German Christmas Markets which are outdoors -but we are finding Saskatchewan is just too cold for this, so this year we’ll all be entirely inside the store. We do strive to create the same christmassy atmosphere -so come get inspired for the season.

There IS reason to celebrate! Sometimes we just have to dig deep to find those reasons. We encourage you to do that for yourself, and if we can help you get there, we’d be honored!

Orders have been arriving continuously, but we do not make anything available for purchase until Market Day. So if you see something on our social feed, you can be sure it'll be here! Last year we sold out quite quickly of décor, so if your heart is set on something specific, make sure you come early!

Art Night - CANCELLED

This is NOT a paint night……

We will not be painting anything, or making anything on this evening…..

Along with wine and cheese, some of the things we will be looking at are:

  • How and where to use artwork

  • Finding the right scale

  • How to update older pieces to fit your style (bring your own and get an opinion)

  • Vintage pieces

  • Look at the ever popular gallery wall

  • Enjoy the company of others

  • Browse our own selection of artwork

  • Where to shop for pieces within a tight budget

Why do we care about art?

We believe in making your home feel personal and intentional. Artwork, when picked properly, has the ability to warm up a space, tell your family’s story, make you happy whenever you see it, or infuse an element of your personality that furniture can’t do.

We have also found, that most people have art that was given to them or passed down from family, but the art doesn’t suit their style, or it looks outdated, but they feel guilty parting with them. We are all about clearing out closets full of un-used things, and we find that often times artwork can be updated, come out of storage, and displayed in the home. So we encourage you to bring one of your own pieces from home that you want some help with. We’ll have frame and mat samples here, so you can play around with different ideas.

Book your spot now! 306.921.3596

You don’t have to be creative! We are not painting anything!

Just grab a friend, an old piece of art -or don’t grab anything- and come join us

Backwall Mural in Progress

We’re starting our mural FINALLY!

Last year, we brought this sad-looking wall to the community, and several talented locals submitted their thoughts on what this wall could look like. We picked our 3 favorites which then was voted on. The design you see here is “Prairie Proud", originally submitted by Dean Armstrong, teacher at MUCC.

Last year we prepped the wall and primed it -but then ran out of good weather to keep going. This summer we’ll keep at it!

Liliidae Market

// DATE CHANGED TO JUNE 19TH FROM 9AM-12PM //

We’re stoked to host another market and fill our parking lot again with local vendors & makers.

Come join us -it’s always a great time.

Our Makers:

BAM Woodturnings - and he’s coming with his lathe again to show the process! We love the beautiful bowls and rolling pins he designs and his work is always beautiful.

The Pot Stand Company - locally made pot stands in all different sizes. They come in a variety of finishes and styles to fit any home decor and style.

Potter & Clay Handmade - local artisan who makes stunning jewelry and hair accessories. Each piece is unique and the perfect accessory for any outfit.

Wild Poppy Baking - delicious and pretty-to-eat desserts and treats!

Mel-City Floral - fresh cut bouquets-to-go are always a win in our books! And these ladies have a knack for putting together the most beautiful floral combinations.

Phil’s Bread - homemade, artisanal bread that is made the old-fashioned way. It is truly delicious!

The Cowboy Project - after the Berglund family experienced a cancer diagnosis with their son (who has since been declared cancer free!), they have started this project to give back to families who are struggling with childhood cancer. 100% of proceeds from the sales of their products are donated to these families. You can read their story here: www.thecowboyproject.com

Badlands Coffee - there is nothing better than a fresh cup of coffee….and these might be the best roasted beans in Saskatchewan.

Liliidae - we’ve worked hard to bring in a curated collection to spruce up any home.

There may be a few more vendors in the works and information will be updated as soon as possible.

Design Giveaway

We have recently added a new member to our team and we thought the best way to celebrate our expansion was to do a giveaway! To the winner, we are offering a one-room design package. This will include:

Design Board

Design Board

3D Modelling

3D Modelling

  • Design Board - this includes inspiration photos for how to update your space as well as links and sources on where to purchase items.

  • 3D Modelling - this will show you what your room could look like! We will take the items on your design board and incorporate them into a 3D modelling of your room. That way you have a very accurate idea of what your final design will look like in your home.

  • All communication will be over the phone and/or email.

HOW TO ENTER:

There’s a few things that you’ll need to do in order to enter. Here’s your list!

  • Please send multiple photos of the room that you would like updated. Try and take them from different angles so that we can get a better sense of the room. You can email them to liliidaehome@gmail.com with the subject as Liliidae Giveaway + your last name

  • Please also send measurements of your room with the photos. If it’s an odd shape, please sketch it out (doesn’t have to be fancy, just legible!) and send us a picture of your sketch. This will help us get an accurate drawing and plan back to you!

  • Fill out the form below!

We will be announcing the winner on Saturday May 8th. We will then contact that person and get to work on their design!

Note that we will be using the winner’s before pictures on our social media pages.

Good Luck!

Christmas Market

Welcome to our Christmas Market featuring a handful of local makers:

Mel-City Floral // Bam Woodturnings // Indigo Yoga // Wild Poppy Baking // Potter and Clay // Phil’s Bread

Stroll through our tent and the store. Add a fun new ornament to your collection. Bring home Phil’s Bread and other goodies by Wild Poppy Baking. Pick up a locally made gift for someone. Warm your hands by one of the fireplaces. Eat a Danish pancake drizzled with butter and cinnamon sugar.

Of course it won’t be as glam as the German Christmas Markets -but our desire is to bring a new cultural experience to our community. To grow something you have to start. This is our start.

This year we’re focusing on local things we CAN take part in and here’s how we’re doing it: Mandatory masks, hand sanitizers, one-way traffic, crowd control, and encouraging outdoor visiting.

What I really liked about the market was that it was not like a trade show at all! It was more intimate and low-key. It featured handmade things, local businesses, and beautiful pieces. I really enjoyed the experience!

1 Year Celebration

What a year it’s been!

Thank you Melfort & area for supporting us, allowing us to be part of your design decisions, and trusting us with your home projects big and small.

We feel very blessed by you all and that’s reason to celebrate!

Our desire is to bring a European Market Feel to this day, where you can come and see local artisans’ work, buy local goods, bring stylish pieces home from our new venture (we’ve brought in some fun stuff!). And as always, see the great products we carry, get inspired, and talk to our reps -who’ll be here to answer all your questions.

Bring your kids to get their faces painted -or leave them at home so you can soak up the sun as you wander the booths, chat to grown-ups, look through the different pieces and find that thing you’ve been looking for to spruce up your home decor.

This is also the day we will reveal which wall-design got the most votes and will become what you see as you drive past this part of town.

More details to follow. Hope to see you all here!

We finally have our THREE options for what our Back Wall could look like! I would like to first of all thank those who took part. Also I wish I was more computer savvy and could present the winners’ work at a much higher standard. But it’s already been long enough, so here’s the best I can do. All three are beautiful and we will be happy to have any of them on our back wall -so it’s up to you in the community to vote for YOUR favorite!

ENTER YOUR DESIGN FOR THE BACK OF OUR BUILDING

Open to anyone in the community high school age and up. If you’re artistic, get on board this challenge! What else are you going to use all this extra time for? ;)

It’s a very large wall: 16 feet high and 54 feet long. There are 3 pillars on the wall (not evenly spread out) so the wall is sort of divided into 4 sections. Your design can be one large mural, or 4 separate ones. Here are some guidelines we’d like you to follow:

  • has to include our logo or name (both are not required)

  • our name is the Tiger Lily subclass, and we’d like to include the flower somehow -but it doesn’t have to be floral everywhere

  • include “Melfort” somewhere on the wall

Contest will run till April 3rd. We will pick our favorite 3 and put them out to the community to vote on.

Have fun! Get creative! Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Please submit your design by sending it to liliidaehome@gmail.com or text it to 306-921-3591

(This contest is only for the design of the building and is un-related to the painting of the wall)
