Do I have to buy design services in order to purchase materials at Liliidae?

Absolutely not! We love being able to provide quality products to anyone and everyone. Some people know exactly what they want -and some people have no idea! We’re here to help you and take notes as you browse through our great selection of products. You can purchase your products here at Liliidae with no other involvement from us.


Will Liliidae make all the decisions on my project?

Short answer; no, we will not. When you come into the store, we take as many notes and gather as much information as possible regarding the products that you pick out. At time of install, we relay this information to our installer, but the decision making during installation will be between you and the installer on site. There are always challenges that come up during any project, so be prepared to problem solve with the installer, to get the best result! If decision-making stresses you out, and you would like that off your plate, we offer our service to take charge of your project at an hourly fee.


What if I order product, and then change my mind?

We know that people change their minds, we do too! That being said, once the deposit has been taken, you will be charged a 25% cancellation fee for any material or product changes.


If I order product through you, can I get my own installer?

Absolutely! You can work with whoever you prefer. The only exception, is cabinetry. These have to be installed by our own installer. All cabinet companies make their cabinets slightly different, and even though your contractor may be very capable, we have found that your experience and end product will be better, if installed by someone who knows Superior Cabinets and has experience installing them.

Side note: We do not book any installations for any other installers, but our own.


How long will my project take?

We would love to have the ability to estimate timelines, but it’s pretty much impossible. The industry is struggling in so many ways, so arm yourself with lots of patience. There are manufacturing delays, shipping delays, and complications that all play a role in how long your project will take. We have gotten materials as quickly as a week after ordering, and on the other end of the spectrum have waited 6-7 months on something. Our commitment to you is to keep you informed to the best of our ability.


Who does your installation?

We work with 5 Point Contracting on most of our installs with the exception of a few specific things. For carpet install we use Stark Construction from Saskatoon. For quartz countertops (and some laminates) we work with Flo-Form from Saskatoon or J&C Stonecutters from Prince Albert.


What happens if problems arise along the way?

There is hardly ever a project that does not have a single hiccup along the way. Going into a project with this in mind will help you tremendously, no matter who you are working with! When you shop at Liliidae, we will help you problem solve and figure out a solution. We are very committed to our clients and do everything in our power to get you the best result possible. If we are the ones to make a mistake, we own it and do our best to correct it.


Do you deliver to site?

When you order from Liliidae, we get everything shipped to our store in Melfort. From here, you or your installer can pick up the order. For large heavy orders, we have a forklift and will load up your truck or trailer for you. However, if you do need delivery to site, we are happy to arrange that with you at an additional fee.


What do I do if I haven’t heard about my project in a long time?

We try very hard to stay on top of all our projects here at Liliidae, but we are just as human as everyone else. If we haven’t checked in with you in a while, please just give us a call! We are always happy to help you and answer your questions. With the industry being so uncertain, it’s appreciated when a client phones in to inquire about their product, so we can ask our suppliers where things are at.


What type of design work do you do?

We do one room, two rooms, whole home, furniture placement, design direction, purchasing, 3D renderings, you name it! We can do as little as just pointing you in the right direction, to sourcing all your finishings, furniture, art, and more. We have our design packages listed on our website, so feel free to look at those to see which one fits the scope of your project.


How do I go about ordering product from you?

When you accept an estimate from us and are ready to pull the trigger, you simply stop in or phone us! We require a 50% deposit on materials (not labour) to begin ordering for you. After this, there will be a time of waiting. As mentioned before, timelines are difficult to predict. We will contact you when materials are ready for pick-up. Note: There is a 25% cancellation fee on deposits, should you change your mind, or find product elsewhere.


Are shipping fees included in your pricing?

No, we did not include shipping in our pricing on most of our materials. Shipping is so hard to nail down for all the different things we provide, and we felt it was more honest to put the shipping fee as a separate line on our invoices. Unfortunately, living in rural Saskatchewan is expensive in terms of getting things out here, but we try our best to keep shipping costs as low as possible.


If I like a rug from your store, but it’s the wrong size, can you get it in the size I need?

Yes! We absolutely can. We order our rugs from Loloi Rugs. Most come in fairly standard sizes, and we can order in whichever one is the right size for you.
